Our families deserve to live in a safe community, and yet, Democrat Politicians in our Legislature have made life easier for criminals.
Violent criminals are being let back on the streets because of House Bill 1034, which passed in 2024.
The Weld County Sheriff sounded the alarm recently when he was required to release someone
accused of attempted murder!
Why?
Because this violent man was deemed “incompetent,” and therefore had to be released under this horrible policy.
Jared Polis signed this law. The Democratic majority passed it.
Enough is enough.
It’s time to put families first and put criminals behind bars!

PETITION TO THE COLORADO GENERAL ASSEMBLY:
Whereas: The Colorado Legislature made a mistake when they passed HB24-1034.
Whereas: Violent criminals are being let back on the streets, putting our families in danger.
Whereas: With public outcry, and warnings from law enforcement, there is no excuse to change Colorado law.
Whereas: Legislators are elected to represent the people, and ensure that the people’s interests are being protected.
Therefore: I urge you to repeal HB24-1034 during the 2026 Legislative Session and support common-sense legislation to keep criminals locked up, and families safe.
